San Francisco-based, Fog City Sailing provides private and corporate sailing tours and yacht charters for the San Francisco Bay and coastal adventures. 


Collectively, we've got more than 75 years of experience on The Bay and elsewhere.

We pride ourselves on our local knowledge, knowledge of seafaring history and tradition - and attention to safety, comfort and enjoyment, in that order.

We love sailing - and we really enjoy having guests aboard, whether first time sailors out to enjoy The Bay or old salts just along for a ride. 

San Francisco Bay has a tremendous amount to offer - and we're continuously learning; come along for a tour and we'll learn a few things together - and share with you what we know.

Capt. Gabriel

A seasoned inland and offshore sailor, Captain Gabriel  has logged thousands of inland, coastal and offshore miles.  His experience includes ocean passages from Hawaii (Hanalei Bay, Kauai) to San Francisco, coastal trips between Cabo San Lucas (Baja, Mexico) and San Francisco, as well as numerous coastal runs between San Francisco and San Diego, in addition to cruises in Puget Sound and the Mediterranean.

A veteran of several Double-Handed Farallones races, he’s also crewed for other captains under the umbrella of the Point Reyes Bird Observatory (PRBO) to help ferry supplies to the island’s researchers, affording the rare opportunity and privilege of visiting the protected wildlife sanctuary.

Extensively travelled and multi-lingual (English, French, Swedish, Spanish), Captain Gabriel’s easy-going nature, calm demeanor, attention to detail, and focus on safely, comfort and enjoyment, make him an ideal host and captain for both domestic and international groups, while his sound judgment, experience and comfort on both single and multi-hull vessels make him invaluable in less-than-ideal conditions.

Captain Gabriel holds a US Coast Guard Near Coastal license as well as an ASA Advanced Coastal Navigation certificate.

Capt. Walt

Captain Walt has sailed the San Francisco Bay for the past 20 years.  A veteran of several Mexico trips, he's skippered his 55-foot catamaran along Coastal California to and from the southern reaches of the Mexican Riviera.


Capt. Walt holds a US Coast Guard 50-ton Master Mariner license.

Sailing for nearly 40 years on the San Francisco Bay, Captain Steven has logged  10s of thousands of miles both inland and offshore, witnessing nearly all conditions the Bay has to offer.


Capt. Steven holds a US Coast Guard Near Coastal License.
